PHOTOS: The Presidential Estates Shul, a home and multiple vehicles were burglarized Friday night, TLS has learned. A resident of the development tells TLS the Pushkas in Shul were forced open and keys left in Shul were stolen.
The thief then used the keys to open and burglarize multiple vehicles parked at the Shul.
The burglar then entered a home through the garage and made off with Pushka money and a pocketbook.
A home in Chateau Park was also burglarized over Shabbos.
Police are investigating. TLS-FY/TLS-CCP.
I thought there were video cameras in Presidential…. anyone gonna check to see if they have footage???
what? in a place like presidential there are no surveliance cameras any where???

sounds like people are really getting desperate for whatever they can get their hands on. it seems the crime rate around lakewood has risen substantially. surveillance cameras are a good idea in an effort to deter would be burglars or identify who is responsible for these crimes.if necessary, perhaps neighbors would be willing to pool $ together so that they can get a handle on the situation themselves. just a thought, don’t know if it sounds reasonable to others.

CAMERA’S WILL ONLY RECORD THE CRIME. EVERY MALL AND STORE HAS TONS OF CAMERA’S AND IT NEVER STOPPED A SINGLE THIEF. EVERY BANK HAS TONS OF CAMERA’S AND EVERY DAY YOU HEAR PEOPLE WALKING IN IN BROAD DAY LIGHT WITHOUT EVEN A MASK – AND ROB A BANK.
-DO YOU REALLY THINK INVESTING THOUSANDS INTO CAMERA’S IS GOING TO STOP CRIME, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?? They will catch on and wear a robbers mask & gloves, and laugh at your camera’s. And they will shoot your camera’s out with bb-guns, the same as they do to street lights in all the ghetto’s.

You are correct that cameras won’t solve all problems but they will solve some.A friend of mine who is a police officer in a inner city claims that the amount of open drug dealing in city parks decreased significantly after they installed cameras.(but of course I realize it probably went elsewhere)
#14 – yes, when criminals know the COPS are watching the camera’s, they fear. but when the criminals know that CITIZENS are watching, they could care less.

JUST get better locks and bolts on your doors and windows alarm systems are also a good idea
