Shabbos Shomrim Patrol Member Stops Car Theft

On Friday night, New Year’s Eve, a member of Shomrim’s Shabbos Patrol was conducting routine surveillance around Lakewood when he observed a suspicious vehicle near West Gate.

As the member began following, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop, the doors opened, and several occupants ran from it.

The Shomrim member then phoned the police, who quickly determined that the vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was subsequently returned to its rightful owner.

An investigation into the car theft is continuing.

Lakewood Shomrim thanks its dedicated member who spotted the stolen vehicle, and the Lakewood Police Department who ensured a speedy resolution to the incident.
