I am writing this to publicize an act of amazing Hashgacha Protis. Earlier this week, TLS reported on this accident. My daughter was the driver of the totaled subcompact. Here is the story.
My daughter was driving along Cross Street, when an SUV going in the opposite direction suddenly veered into her lane. B”H she had the presence of mind to immediately swerve to the side, avoiding what surely would have been a fatal, head- on collision. Nonetheless, the SUV nicked the rear of the car, causing it to swerve off the road, deploying all the airbags, and totaling the car (you can see the white subcompact in the referenced article. B”H my daughter emerged completely unharmed.
The SUV swerved off the road, banged into a hydrant and tree, and the occupants were removed on stretchers to the hospital knocked up, but thankfully not seriously injured.
The amazing Hashgacha Protis is that two weeks prior to this accident, my daughter got a speeding ticket, which caused us to compel her to take an online defensive driving course. Over the past few days, she had spent hour after hour watching videos describing exactly what to do in this situation. When the moment came, she was prepared to make the instantaneous decision necessary to save her life. אודה לה’ חסדו, בתוך קהל ארוממנו!

Wow. Unbelievable.. Makes you think twice. Thank you for posting.
Chasdei HaShem!
More Lakewood drivers need to take that course.
Is the online course recognized by the insurance companies for the 5% discount?
