TLS Readers, I would like to just share my thoughts with you, which I found necessary to express. As you saw on the Lakewood Scoop yesterday, a car flipped over on Madison Avenue attracting much attention to many dozens of pedestrians and onlookers, including boys from BMG, mothers and children. And as a passerby, myself. I understand it’s “Exciting” to see a vehicle flipped over and all the lights and sirens etc. What bothered me about the scene however was all the onlookers trying to get ‘a closer look’ at the vehicle. First of all, where is the privacy? Someone has just gotten hurt. Please respect their privacy by keeping a distance. Secondly, can’t you see that the Police and Extrication Professionals, whether from Hatzalah or EMS, or Fire Department, are trying to cut a patient from a vehicle? Aside for the safety aspect of it, it disrupts their work. Just a thought.
Thank you TLS.

You are very correct.
I educate my children to respect others privacy. But, I realize that sometimes curiosity still prevails.
what are all the extra emergency personell supposed to do if not crowd control.
do we need all those extra busses and emt’s?
privacy? are you saying there should not have been a video taken and posted here for everyone to see?
You are 100% right. Nowadays pple aren’t sensitive enough to others. Im not saying I wouldn’t stop to look but I look at it differently now. Thanks for bringing up this point!
I know someone who’s shaitel fell off while being treated at an accident scene and the men still wouldn’t stop gwaking!
You are right I am never going to forget all the people standing around when I got in a crash. It was really embarrassing. Jason u the man. As far as I know scoop tried not to get pics of people in accident.( I don’t think they ever had in pic or video.)

To #4: If you go look at any pictures or videos of accidents that TLS brings, I don’t think you will EVER see the face of the people/injured.
P.S. TLS YOU DO A GREAT JOB!!!
Very good point . I hope that someone will process this information and try and use it the next time they are in this type of situation.

bmg hqs if u watch the video the Lakewood EMS guy yelled for cribbing to be put in place.he did his job as a safety officer. he was at least smart enough to get it secured even though the extrication was started by Hatzolah prior his arrival…im glad to see that Hatzolah and Lakewood EMS work well together…through both departments the patient was removed safely.
