Today (Tuesday) I wanted to file a complaint about my child’s bus company. I went to the BOE website to find the transportation complaint number that used to be on the top of the website and find that they took it down. So I call the regular BOE phone line get transferred to transportation dpt. Get voicemail.
After a few tries, I get a live person and get told we don’t take complaints over the phone any more only in writing. This was by order of the superintendent.
I go to the BOE building to write out the complaint, there is a big sign there the transportation supervisors will not see ANYONE without an appointment.
The lady sitting outside said someone will call you within the hour. I am still waiting. Then they will say oh I did not realize there is a problem.
If you make it so difficult to complain then people will not.

Looks like they getting some kickbacks from that known bus company…
since when is government there to make you happy?
1. gov’t workers are there to implement law.
2. who makes the law? not the one who has to implement it.
3 every complaint only creates support for the claim ” we are underfunded”.
4. more gov’t will only follow.
solution: less gov’t running our lives.
oh! and you can register your hand me down bicycle for 10.00 and your kids can bike to school.
I called, they answered on the first try. The lady was very understanding, but said due to the fact that they have so many complaints, they now have to get the complaints in writing. She said they would mail me a form. That was yesterday, I am sure I will get it soon.
Please understand that they are getting tons of complaints and are trying to deal with it. Put pressure on your local BOE member.
You voted these people in the BOE. You wanted these people in the BOE. This is what you can expect from all Lakewood Gov’t in the future. Now live with it!
to # 4. You have no idea what you are talking about. For the first time in 10 years we have people on the board who are trying to keep people accountable. It’s very tough after 10 years of waste from the top down.
it’s funny how you look at the teachers, the union and failing schools and you try to blame board members. lets rid ourselves of failing teachers, the union and you will see passing schools with in a short period of time.
i have called the BOE many times and always reached them. they were understanding. they offered to mail me a complaint form and they did. i went down in person to submit it. all i did was knock on their door and said that i didnt have an appt but i just wanted to give in the complaint. they took it with a smile!!!!!
WRITE ALL THE COMPLAINTS YOU WANT, WHO IS THE OWNER OF THE BUS COMPANY IN QUESTION, WHY IS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN CONSTANTLY,
Check to make sure the bus Company has adequate insurance, and why is it, the children are not sitting down on the busses and standing up looking out the windows
