Readers’ Scoop: I’m Moichel You B’lev Shalom

Readers-Scoop-Logo smallDear TLS. I just want to share with you an amazing experience from this past Purim. On Purim, I was making my rounds for Mishloach Manos when I hit someone’s car. It was a pretty good bang and left substantial damage on the other other vehicle. However, what followed next was truly amazing.

The driver emerged from his car and said, “I’m Moichel you B’lev Shalom. A Freilichen Purim”. I was shocked. I asked if I can give him my cell phone number in case he decides he wants me to pay for the damage, but again he insisted and just said, “I’m Moichel you B’lev Shalom. A Freilichen Purim”.

I never got his name and he never got my name.

I just felt compelled to share this amazing story with others.

Thank you.

  1. Very Nice! however you broke the law & could be charged for not calling the police to report accident involving more than $500 in property damage.

  2. There is a lot of good in Lakewood and a lot of great people. However, these types of Jews also exist in Florida and PA. Problem is that Florida has a high unemployment rate.

  3. That doesnt mean everyone should feel that when they smash someones car they should be forgiven without compensation. If you smash a car pay for it do not be upset if he makes you pay for it as he should.
