  1. I don’t like to get involved in these accident videos, but this happens to be a huge pet peeve of mine so I will weigh in.

People treat right on red like a green light. Go at full speed without stopping at all. In actuality, it is meant to be treated like a stop sign. Come to a complete stop, look in all directions. If it is clear go.

This issue gets magnified in the circumstances in this video, when the opposite traffic has a left green arrow. Because those people do indeed have a green light they go full speed and the red on right is going full speed as well to the exact same lane.

  2. And it gets even more dangerous when the vehicle making a right turn on red fails to turn into the lane closest to the curb. The combo right turn on red and change lanes to left lane is an everyday occurance.

  3. I almost got hit last week in this situation. I had green arrow, and the car opposite of me had to zip ahead into a right turn. They were fully stopped beforehand, just had to beat me to the turn.

Don’t these idiots realize that the 5 seconds you saved by turning in front of me becomes half an hour wasted at the scene, plus bills and loss of car?
