A newly unearthed racist email sent by a Jackson woman to Council President Nixon speaks of a “disgusting” influx of Jews who she allegedly fears will “destroy” Jackson. She begs Nixon – move fast to keep the Jews out – block their schools. Nixon’s response – a cordial thank you and a commitment to act, in his own words “swiftly and boldly.” He notes that the 2015 ‘No Knock’ ordinance passed by Jackson’s Township Council was one of his tools – to keep Jews out.
Nowhere does he condemn her rhetoric about how the Jews will allegedly force her from her home, her description of alleged Jewish behavior as “disgusting” nor does he object to her bald faced racist lie that the Jews “are trying to conquer and destroy our neighborhoods.”
One would think that a man like Nixon would condemn this woman and her anti-Semitic aspersions. Unfortunately, the opposite occurred. Nixon, instead of condemning, notes how her concerns are “very serious concerns”, apparently agreeing with this resident that Jews moving into Jackson were “conquering” and “destroying” neighborhoods.
The contents of the email are shocking. Why didn’t Rob Nixon condemn this woman? Why did he not email her that Jews moving into town were peace-loving individuals who wished no more than to live in harmony with other Jackson residents? Why did he instead agree with this resident? And did Nixon indeed introduce an ordinance designed specifically to keep Jews out of Jackson? Why did he agree with her request to ban Orthodox schools?

Last week, when a Jewish owned home was defaced with horrible anti-Semitic graffiti the Jackson council issued a statement without specifically condemning anti-Semitism.
After reading this email exchange I think we know why anti-Semitism wasn’t mentioned. It wasn’t mentioned because folks like Nixon actively encourage the anti-Semitism by thanking and requesting support from bigots who send him anti-Semitic emails.
This man needs to step down. He has clearly shown that he is unfit to serve ALL Jackson residents.

To those asking how these emails were gotten. its a govenment email address all email can be be had with a simple FOIA request unless they are of classified nature. which is why hillary used a private email server so the public wont be able to see what she was doing

BD: She didn’t write anything unreasonable? Saying that ‘it’s disgusting.. that we are trying to conquer and destroy their neighborhoods’ etc is reasonable? While I agree that we shouldn’t be knocking on doors etc. and we should know our place al pi Torah in Galus, it is hard for me to imagine that you can defend her letter. We moved to Jackson after 20+ years living in Lakewood because we wanted a quiet neighborhood with plenty of trees and green (kind of like our old neighborhood in Lakewood when we first moved there) but we are very quiet, inconspicuous and try to be good neighbors.
The Jackson Township should be thankful to the Jewish orthodox community for coming in. A few of my friends made profitable sales on their homes because suddenly our dead neighborhood was the new “it”. I won’t be selling my home because I’m enjoying my new peaceful neighbors! They are very family oriented & kind! They are also bringing the quiet town more business in the nearby stores. This Nixon guy is clearly a straight up Antisemite! Peace out!
