[COMMUNICATED] Tomchei Shabbos of Lakewood’s “Million Dollar Day of Giving” is already underway, but they are still $400,000 short of their goal, which is to cover their monthly budget for Tishrei, $1.1 Million Dollars. Rabbi Trainer expresses the dire situation, “Thousands of needy individuals in our communities are lacking the most basic necessities for Yom Tov. There are only a few hours left to insure we can cover the enormous expense of assisting these families with food for the coming month.”“Everyone knows how crucial the food distributed by Tomchei Shabbos is for the many families who simply can’t keep up with the expenses of this busy Yom Tov season. Now, when the impact of every donation is TRIPLED, thanks to individuals who truly feel the plight of their brethren, your every dollar goes a long way to feeding families in Lakewood and the surrounding neighborhoods.”
“But all these recipients of Tomchei’s vital assistance are waiting on YOUR donation! Tomchei Shabbos of Lakewood CAN NOT do this important work without the full participation of our entire Kehillah. Your individual donation is desperately needed so that they can cover their tremendous expenses for Tishrei, and we simply MUST meet the goal of $1,100,000 for the Yemei Harachamim.”
Our communities and beyond are united NOW for a powerful Zechus to bring for the Yom HaDin, ONE MILLION DOLLARS of Tzedakah for the Aniyim in our neighborhoods. Join Us!

Tomchei Shabbos is a fantastic and unfortunately necessary organization. But, I know many people who get Tomchei Shabbos packages and can’t use a lot of the food they are given for various reasons. Wouldn’t it be better if people could get store vouchers so they could purchase what they really could use?
