Rabbi Shmuel Felder: If you already made a Cholent with Gefen Cholent Mix, No Need to throw out

Rabbi Shmuel Felder, one of Lakewood’s leading Poskim, told TLS this afternoon that there is no need to throw out your Cholent if you already made it using the recalled Gefen Cholent Mix.

“The whole thing is L’katchillah,” the Rav said.

As first reported yesterday, the company recalled a batch of the Mix due to infestation issues.

Stores in Lakewood – and assumingly elsewhere – have already pulled the infested batch, but anyone purchasing the Cholent Mix now, should ensure it is from the new batch.
