  1. Every single frum person owes hakoras hatov to Congressman Chris Smith for the effort he is making on behalf of J Ostreicher and Jonathan Pollard. There is no better way to say thank you to a politician than by voting for him.

  2. The FACTS speak for themselves. Without Congressman Smith’s help Chemed would not exist. Anyone who benefits from Chemed in anyway owes Congressman Smith their vote.

  3. Smith typically works 12 hours a day, six days a week. He writes his own speeches, comes up with most of his own ideas for legislation and pushes hard to get that legislation through. To #1:”Time or (sic) a change”: You have got to be kidding. If we hired him to do a job- which is to represent our interests and work his tail off on our and the country’s behalf, OF COURSE he should be spending most of his time in Washington! He does live part time in NJ.. (In case you didn’t realize when reading the political propoganda, his residence in “Virginia” you refer to is a suburb right outside of Washington, but within Virginia).
The fact is that after all these years, he has remained perfectly clean, been one of the most effective and focused Congressmen in Washington, and has been TREMENDOUSLY responsive to his constituents in NJ. I personally know of several instances where he wholeheartedly interceded in constituents’ concerns and problems.
Did you know that even neutral observers of Congresspeople have reported that Smith typically works 12 hours a day, six days a week? Or that he writes his own speeches, comes up with most of his own ideas for legislation- often based on feedback from constituents, and pushes hard to get the legislation through?
If you want to find fault in a politician to throw them out, I can name very many to choose from. But Chris Smith is definitely not one of them. (And no, I have no affiliation with his campaign or office and have personally only met him two or three times- all very impressive meetings I might add.) As someone commented above, the FACTS speak for themselves. Don’t let opponents’ silly propoganda get in the way of facts and the truth.

  4. Cong. Smith is the only Republican I vote for on the National Level. He disappoints me once in awhile but is hard working and honest at all times. He doesn’t always follow the party line. He has been branded a RHINO by the radical Tea Party because he displays kindness and empathy for his constituents. He helped get the Grossman boy back with his father. The current Republican party agenda scares me. I will have to give Cong. Smith some serious thought this time around.
