Powerball Winner Hopefuls’ Dreams Could End Soon

UPDATED: With the numbers to one of the largest lotteries in history about to be drawn, tens of millions of dreams could be shattered too. The Powerball lottery now standing at $550 million dollars could land a jackpot winner some serious cash.

A winner taking the cash option would get $360.2 million – before taxes.

For many though, the dream alone of striking it big, was worth the $2. TLS.

UPDATE 11:07 PM. The winning numbers are: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 & Powerball 6. Since the drawing, the Powerball website has been down.

My Take

I didn’t even bother to buy a ticket. What’s the difference to me if the stakes are 1 million or 50 million? The chances of my winning are almost 0 anyway. What would I possibly do with so much money except give it away to yeshivos, tzeddakos, my children? Before Moshicah comes, it is not necessary to be spending so much money on worldly pleasures. They won’t help you get too Olam Haboh.
