Take out a candle and a gemara!
out on clifton
I agree with believer, one hour without power (technology) and already 5 comments. Chevra, wake up! Dont you get the message?Take out a gemara, a mishnayis, a tehilim, time to do teshuva..
Arlington/MLK is out
Does anyone know yet if this is because of lashon hara, or pritzus, or the internet, or shabbos, or bitul torah?
Whenever something happens, I come to TLS to find out why it happened, because the commentators here always think they know the answers.
Officers at Clifton and Route 88 are doing amazing job moving traffic along.
This is happening because there are so many bitter parents and children who have not been accepted into Schools because of Sinas Chinam. So everyone in Lakewood has to sit in the dark and do Teshuva.
#11 – I’m all for Teshuva don’t get me wrong – but just curious how you get from down traffic lights to Teshuva.
A generator overheated
Thanks elly for the answer. I knew that someone would be able to tell me the reason this happened. TLS readers sure have the direct line to Himmel to find out all the answers to everything asap.
Let me know, elly, if stocks will go up tomorrow or down. I am waiting for your answer with my finger on the button, because you know all the answers.
Heads up — Just found out that some are saying this is happening due to the internet. Other are saying its due to the rain. Answers are coming in as quickly as possible. We’ll keep you posted. You heard it here on TLS first!
This is to test the Kehila for a pre Internet Asifa to see if we can live without it for a couple hours
With all the comments here it seems like the Internet is working perfectly
How could one say what the reasons are for the outage. No one is Hashem. cool masmid is right. What is true, is that in general people have to be nice and respectful at ALL times.. and it’s very sad that children are punished by not being accepted in to schools. what are you going to say to Hashem after a 120. I didn’t accept him/her because of… who’s wrong. not the poor child.
Hashem Yerachem!! Cant wait any longer, I need to see if there r updates on the Minyan Bon Fire tonight!!!
Electricity back on in south of lake developments
To Shlomo. Don’t forget people have I phones. To Yid. you’re on the ball. It’s easy to point the finger at someone else. what those people should do is point it to themselves.
is the street lite bill paid?
Ace for head of chaveirim!!
D3 Thank you for all your help!!!
is BMG down?
The oilam is saying that this is for sure a punishment for not having a traffic light at the corner of MLK and Pine St. Can anyone else confirm? Please advise.
Wait…… I just heard someone say that it can’t be because of that, because what did the oilam north of the lake do to deserve the punishment.
So I said back that maybe the oilam north of the lake is being punished for not having a light at the corner of County Line and Monmouth.
So they were maskim.
Can anyone else confirm that this is the reason that we’re being punished?
Public schols out also, but, that doesn’t matter.
Did Lakewood pay the JCP&L bill or did we pay some of it which is causing the power outages.
@ yid
How can you make fun in such a situation. Everything has a reason, and we have to listen to the people that really know the answers. Do tshuva quickly because these things only comes from aveiros.
Still no power.8
is ok
Dear Yid,
I heard your plea for help. You sound so needy that I’ve decided to give you a free gift.
The stock market will be up big tomorrow, now go make some money and stop obsessing over the comments on TLS.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that whenever it rains something goes wrong with the telephone and/or the power? I’ve lived in Lakewood for 35 years and we’ve had soooo many power outages. This is beginning to feel very primitive.
this was the most random power outage i ever so….no rain or wind
MANY MESSAGES TO LEARN among them 2
1)the human being was made to take things for granted & therefore we sometimes need a reminder what it feels like without it, so we can start appreciating it again & give the proper thanks to Hashem. WHAT better time to plunge into darkness then the day before lag baomer?
2)when sadness & bad things occur, we naturally let it pass & convince ourselves that its coincidence due to not being able to face reality, when in fact nothing is coincidence & there’s always a message & reason for something to happen.
DARKNESS IS A MESSAGE OF BEING WITHOUT HASHEM C”V
LET US START TESHUVA NOW BEFORE HASHEM PLUNGES US INTO DARKNESS…. C”V
As MJ said you need to start with man in the mirror.
The LPD did a super job all around today. Thanks for being out there!
Thanks to the three men from Chaveirim, who helped keep everyone on Madison & 9th safe…great working with you guys. Thanks for the water bottles!
Crossing Guard Route 9
Dark times are coming in the days before Moshiach. This was one sign to remind us.
A man once slipped on ice. He ran to Rav Avigdor Miller and asked him, “Rebbi, what should I learn from this?”
Rav Avigdor answered in his vintage style and voice, “You should learn from this to always be careful when walking on ice!”
tyvm 57 awesome job
