  1. How else but bad can you rate a company that needs one hour of paperwork before five minutes of work. We had a crew from Virginia who spent most of its time sitting around before awaiting authorization to do each job. I am not talking about inspection, but paperwork.

  2. I would rate it as horrible. No reason to take over a week to get back power only to lose it again. I called many times and each time they kept on saying will give in my report but did nothing. When i called another tine they had no idea i even called numerous times before. When they finally got around to fixing the fallen wires in front of my house it took them less than an hour. It was a really short job no reason had to be in the dark for over a week with little children in the house

  3. What if I told u that there is power lines lying on sidewalk on corner of monmouth and kennedy right now, today! There was tre hanging on it since the storm 2 weeks ago, it was taped off and now tree is on ground and so is the wire, if I was running this township they would be gone. I hear week after storm they were inundated with problems but we r 14 days past and they have a live wire on the ground. Go take a look for yourself

  4. My issue is communication.

Yes, it was a unprecedented storm, and yes, the damage was vast. However, their communication was horrible.

We did not have electricity from Monday night thru Sat morning. We had no idea it the light we’re coming on in five minutes, a day or five days.

The standard answer we got was 7-10 days. That shouldn’t be.

  5. The extent of damage to power lines has never been seen before! There were more serious and dangerous conditions that had to be cleared before the grids could be turned on. It took a 4 man crew from AL 4 hrs to fix my mother’s line after we contacted JCP&L. They were always patient and gave clear communication and took precautions to prevent fires and explosions that other communities had experienced. They gave work order #s to relay to police for life threatening situations as they worked through he priority of clearing the most dangerous grids! Add LINEMEN to the list of HEROES!

  6. I was out twice. What a disgrace to see people being kofui toiv. Only people who expect everything given to them would take out time to spew such vemon. Shame on you. Thank you jcpl workers. Go home and best wishes for only precious moments with your family.

  7. To lakewood resi:what township do u live in that jcp and l communicated with you? We were down for 13 days with no answers. The no answers was the most annoying part of the ordeal! Not only that but we had a tree burning for THREE DAYS! We finally got a crew from florida to help after we flagged them down. We called every single day and the crew said we werent in the system. This wasto after 6we diff supervisorsis came outto to inspect. It took them a total of 30 min to fix the problem. That is plain nuts. We are grateful we have a home to live in and i dont see it as selfish or ungrateful

  8. Yes I think they did a good job. Yes it did take a week to fix but there were 1 million ppl with out power so I would say for a storm that has not bin seen in 50 years there were good
    Thank you
    Jc

  9. I don’t understand how it is that so many people have been without power for so long, while others, like myself, were fortunate enough to have power restored within a reasonable amount of time. It doesn’t make sense.

  10. I saw them just sitting in the Shop Rite parking lot and the were just playing soccer !!! i went over to them and asked them what they think they are doing when i still don’t have power and they said no one told them where to go. that is ridicules.no power for close to 2 weeks

  11. i honestly dont blame the folks that had no power for a wk or more. thats a long time especially for big families in freezing weather. and to argue that thats how our great grandparents lived is ridiculous since this isnt our way of life right now. last i looked i didnt see a wood burning stove and lanterns in each rooms. i would rate them Lousy with a capital L
