UPDATED: Police, LCSW on the Lookout for Vehicle Stolen from Shul

UPDATED: Police and the Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch this evening are on the lookout for a vehicle stolen from a Shul over Shabbos. The thief reportedly entered the Shul andstole the keys to the vehicle.

The car, a 2011 gray Honda Accord, has NJ plates of T23-AKR.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lakewood Police.

UPDATE: 12:45 AM. The vehicle was located on Monmouth Avenue by an LCSW volunteer patrolling the area.

Police have impounded the car for processing by CIU.

  1. Why did the police impound the vehicle now the owner will be out at, least 200 dollars besides for whatever damage the thieves did.

  2. As usual, the victim is put on trial; par for the course.

    #1 and #3, it doesn’t make you wonder too much, unless you have a very under-active imagination. The thief went into the shul and found keys and then went outside and pressed the UNLOCK button and heard a beep and figured it out, WONDER NO MORE!

    #6 it doesn’t say anywhere in the story that the keys were left in the car. They were left in the shul.
