PHOTO of a downed pole on 14th Street. Dozens in the 14th Street area are still without power, and we’re being told that it may be another day before JCP&L can make the repair, as they await Verizon to repair the pole. One reader told TLS this morning “I’m learning by a Yartzeit candle-the old way. My son bought lot of ice for the fridge”. He also suggested that those without electricity fill the fridge with snow or move perishables to the garage of their vehicle.

why buy ice? just fill bags with snow, it’s free and readily available. or just keep your perishables outside.
#1 NOW THAT IS USING YOUR HEAD—-COMMON SENSE
Yeah, B”H the power outage was in the winter so your food won’t spoil. You can just put piles of snow in your fridge (pack it down well and put it in containers). Unfortunately, your heat probably doesn’t work, so get under your quilts. If you have an old oven that doesn’t have electronic ignition, you can do a lot of baking to keep warm.
Can TLS please help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was a fire, too!
NOW THAT YOU HAVE SNOW PILES YOU COULD STORE YOUR FOOD OUTSIDE FOR THE NEXT 4 WEEKS AND WATCH FOR YOUR SHADOW
