Yeah, just like Brooklyn.
“Tree City USA” indeed…
No more trees in Lakewood?
Sad,sad! I will suggest ,instead of the tree removal, clean the lake & path ways. It is a disgrace.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn…but not Lakewood.
The bark could not be properly cleaned for chometz, and burning them would have created a fire hazard. Safety first.
New name for Lakewood…. “Tree stump city USA”
Why? How does it affect safety?
people are walking and texting and talking, and walking into the trees. Ouch, who put that tree there?
Well, if you put a tree on fire to burn out the chometz in an area with lots of things around it, then lots of other things might also go on fire, and sometimes there are people in and around those things. That would be “unsafe”. Sorry for not explaining properly before. So instead they carried the tree to a safe location such as a personal fireplace, where it can be safely disposed of and power melted marshmallows as well, so they can can get warm and fuzzy feelings both spiritually and physically. Thank you.
Haha I really like the name “stump city”
The downtown area looks much nicer now.
It also seems very open as opposed to before
