A multi-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike has left two vehicles overturned and four people injured, officials say.

The crash, involving a truck, car and van, occurred shortly after 6 PM between exits 12-11 southbound, and left the vehicles sprawled between the local and express lanes.

Emergency personnel, including emergency responders from Lakewood passing the scene, treated the patients at the scene.

Traffic is reportedly backed up for over 10 miles as a result. Use an alternated route.
