During yesterday’s joint board meeting, the Toms River Board of Fire Commissioners swore in Richard Gorman as the Director of the Fire Academy.

Richard Gorman is currently a Battalion Chief with the Jersey City Fire Department and has been a Firefighter in Jersey City for over Three Decades. He also is a Volunteer Fire Lieutenant on Silverton Fire Department in Toms River.

Richard Gorman is taking over the academy following the retirement of Bob Hanson last month.
