Though the Tour won’t be passing through Lakewood this year, Lakewood Traffic & Safety officers Sergeant Frank Work and Patrolman Erik Menck have as well as Sergeant David Sussman and Ms. Lisa Preslar – wife of fallen LPD officer, have joined in the ride.

Three years ago, in May, the President had “Poetry Night” at the White House. One of the guests was a rapper called Common. He wrote “A Song for Assata” in honor of the woman who murdered New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster .
What are you trying to say? That these policemen should not ride to honor those who lost their lives.
