On Sunday, April 30th, over 1,100 boys from around the Tri-State Area attended Pirchei Agudas Yisroel’s 54th Annual National Siyum Mishnayos al shem Harav Yehoshua Silbermintz zt”l. The siyum took place at the Kol Yaakov Hall in Flatbush, and was chaired by Rabbi Avi Frank.

The siyum program combined education and entertainment, bringing fun and learning to the boys. They enjoyed presentations by Rabbi Hershel Zolty, Rosh Yeshiva, Yeshivas Mir; Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zweibel, Executive Vice President of Agudas Yisroel of America; and Rabbi Ephraim Levi, National Director of Pirchei Agudas Yisroel of America. Tehillim were recited by Rabbi Eliezer Leiff, Rosh Yeshiva, Yeshiva of South Monsey and grandfather of one of the mesaymim. Kaddish was recited by Mr. Abe Eisner in memory of his parents and in-laws, z”l.

Master storyteller Rabbi Yitizy Erps, himself a past member of Pirchei, mesmerized the crowd. The boys were treated to a beautiful audio-visual presentation on the life of Rabbi Yisroel Belsky zt’l, produced by Rabbi Yosef Treisser, director of Pirchei Agudas Yisroel of Montreal. Raffles throughout the evening included sets of seforim, a shas and a bike! Congratulations to the mesaymim and to all of those who participated.
