The car causes the leaves to be ignited. The fire is caused by the intense heat.

no. the car exploded because the heat from the car ignited the leaves.

The catalytic converters is hot and causes the dry leaves to ignite.

It was better in the old days when there was no parking on 14th Street.

When was there no parking on 14th st.? Anyway it can happen on any street so what should they do – ban parking all over town until the leaves are removed?
