Over 1000 Chai Lifeline members enjoyed a fabulous family day at Six Flags Great Adventure on Chol Hamoed Sukkos.
Despite the gray weather, the mood was jubilant as the families arrived, donned their t-shirts and rain gear, and headed to the park. From the Kingda Ka to the Carousel, young and old had the opportunity to spend a pressure-free day without worrying about treatment and illness.
The bi-annual Chol Hamoed trips arranged by Chai Lifeline ease the burden for families consumed with serious illness. It takes away the pressure of “how are we going to manage to arrange a trip for the kids on Chol Hamoed?” and enables families to relax and rejuvenate over Yom Tov.

It was a beautiful day, not weather wise, but seeing the counselors and kids going on rides was a great teaching moment. I showed my kids what real Chesed is all about !! Counselors shleeping the kids out of wheelchairs to put then on the rides and with big smiles while doing it.
Proud to be Have been there.
My favorite organization is Chai Lifeline. Amazing the wonderful work they do, the volunteers, Rabbi Fried Is the best, so many people who give of themselves for Chai Lifeline. Lucky to have them in our lives. When you see their pushka, give more than you can afford to give and say, thank goodness my kids and family are healthy.
