Notice the speed limit sign in the backround! The speed limit has to be lowered from 45 to 30 or so. It was originally 45 when there were no developments in the area.
Chaya- I don’t think speed had anything to do with this. I must have just missed the accident since I was right down Pine Street at that time and saw Hatzolah on their way there, but I can tell you the extreme glare from the sun on that stretch at that time made it extremely hard to see oncoming westbound traffic. I would bet sun glare was a major factor in this. May all involved have a speedy and complete recovery.
The sun is blinding this time of year heading toward new hampshire in the morning
Agreed. I was on Oak this morning at that time, driving toward New Hampshire. Even with a crystal clean windscreen it was almost impossible to see due the extreme glare.
Does anyone know how the man that was hurt is doing?
Will agree with some other posters. The sun glare was really bad this morning. But people do need to take that into account, slow down and stop driving so close to each other.
