From Fort Bragg, NC to Lakewood, NJ.
A military doctor and his wife fulfilled a lifelong dream yesterday in Lakewood, with the assistance of Chaplain Rabbi Dovid Egert.
When Dr. Lawson, a military family medicine doctor together with his wife decided to become Geyrim, they began searching, and finally got in touch with military chaplain Rabbi Dovid Egert.
After nearly three years of studying and learning, the day finally came.
On Monday, the doctor, his wife and children traveled to Lakewood to officially be Megayor Kedas Moshe V’yisroel to Orthodox Judaism.
“I feel like Hashem guided him in the right direction towards me, as a chaplain, and towards the Lakewood community as well,” said Rabbi Egert.
The event took place Monday afternoon, followed by a wedding on Monday night.
”I am in a daze from the kindness, professionalism, and amazing experience we had in Lakewood!” Dr. Lawson said.
They will soon be moving to a frum community.

Mazel tov and welcome to klal yisroel where every Yid is loved by everyone no matter who you are in yiddishkeit
You’re allowed to get married during Sfira?
Its most likely that this wedding took place last week.
this is amazing and shows the beauty of yiddishkeit and why anyone that goes off the derech really needed to get mental health counseling as that main reason people go off.
Hmmmm…..it says in the article “yesterday.” I’m sure there’s a very good answer because obviously the Rabbi is well versed in Halacha. I’m just so curious what the answer is!
They were migayer and that day so needed a jewish wedding right away…sefira or not.
He got married … to himself ? I don’t see a Kallah ???
