PHOTOS: Meet Lakewood’s Newest Police Officers

The Lakewood Police Department today held an in-house training for several new police officers.

The officers, some of which are transfers from other departments, met with chaplains, liaisons, along with various volunteer organization heads to learn about the different cultures in Lakewood, and to gain a first hand understanding of religious customs and more.

Directed by Chief Greg Meyer and the leadership of Lieutenant Rob Shimonovich, and the officers receive extensive training to ensure they’re fully equipped with the tools they need to hit the roads of one of the most diverse towns in the State and Country.

  1. Thank you to the Lakewood Police Department for your devotion and commitment of keeping our town safe. I just wish there would be more of a police presence in the school areas.
