1. Hope you guys will never have to use the skills you just learnt.
   But, as volunteers, thanx for giving from your private ‘family’ time, on a Sunday, to learn skills to help us. As a volunteer for some of the wonderful organizations in Lakewood, I know what it feels like to give from your private time.

2. the lfd volunteers are really the silent heroes of Lakewood. we all really should recognize how special you have to be too be willing to go into a burning building to save some one else’s life…

4. Thank you so much for the kind words . Please help us when our budget comes up. Please don’t associate the fire dept and the nonsense you hear about the board of fire commissioners . We have nothing to do with them. You hear we have all we need and that is false. We have list of equipment needs that have not been met but the commissioners do to budgetary restraints . Please support us and pass our budget we are in dyer need of equipment. thank you Lakewood . We will always be here for you !

5. Maybe we should help out the volunteers when they send out their leaflets for fund drive. Most of what is raised on that fund raiser goes directly to operating costs for the companies, most of the budget is for the fire district operating costs (which includes training, uniforms & safety equipment). The companies themselves need it for their own operating costs.
   HELP THEM HELP YOU Please. I always give for the Volunteers.
