PHOTOS: Dozens of Lakewood’s emergency services officials gathered Sunday evening ahead of the impending blizzard expected to dump upwards of a foot of snow in Lakewood.
The meeting, held at the Office of Emergency Management headquarters, focused on coordinating and implementing emergency procedures for the storm, in a joint effort between the various agencies.
“Lakewood is lucky to have hundreds of volunteers ready to assist in situations like this,” said an OEM official. The official noted that between the various agencies, Lakewood has approximately 400 emergency workers ready and able to assist the town.
Attending the meeting, were representatives from the Lakewood Police Department, Lakewood Fire Department, EMS, Inspection Department, DPW, Lakewood First Aid, Hatzolah, Chaveirim and LCSW. Among the various organizations, are several groups of CERT as well.
