The Lakewood Fire Department’s new 2026 Seagrave 75-foot AerialScope Tower Ladder is now complete after arriving from Wisconsin several weeks ago.
New graphics were added by a local dealer to match the rest of the department’s fleet.
The new truck will make its debut this weekend at the New Jersey State Firemen’s Association Convention in Wildwood, NJ before going into service in Lakewood within the next few weeks.
The truck was originally ordered for approximately $1.6 million, but price increases resulted in the district paying nearly $200,000 more. Fire officials said that if the same truck were ordered today, it would cost more than $2.5 million.
The new tower ladder will replace the district’s current frontline ladder truck.

Waste of money
May you never need it!!!
Great job on the graphics! Can’t wait to see this beast responding around town! In my opinion the department shouldn’t get rid of the other, older ladders; instead make some of them reserves or volunteer.
