Jackson Township Fire District 2 officially welcomed four new full-time career firefighters during a swearing-in ceremony held Thursday night.

Although the four firefighters have been working shifts since the beginning of September, the ceremony marked their formal oath to serve and protect the residents of Jackson Township.

The newly sworn-in firefighters are:

Richard Bonner Jr., of Jackson, is a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School and has been a firefighter since 2018. He is currently attending EMT Academy and has been assigned to B-Platoon under Lt. Zimmerman.

Kyle Lackay, of Jackson, is a graduate of Jackson Liberty High School. He has served as a firefighter since 2013 and became an EMT in 2026. He has been assigned to A-Platoon under Lt. Hanson.

Azizadeen Sakoor, of Point Pleasant Beach, is a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School. He is currently attending the Union County Fire Academy to obtain his Firefighter I and II certifications. Upon completion, he will begin EMT training before joining D-Platoon under Lt. Langguth.

Kevin E. Hrudowsky, of Galloway, is a graduate of Toms River High School South. He has been a firefighter since 2009 and an EMT since 2006. He has been assigned to C-Platoon under Lt. Poppe III.

The addition of the four career firefighters further strengthens Jackson Fire District 2’s staffing and its ability to provide fire protection and emergency services to township residents.
