  1. Afikomen Gift Center To Hold Distribution For Kids Who Can’t Seem to Work Up The Nerves To Grab the Afikomen
The Afikomen Gift Center is holding its annual gift distribution next week for children and young adults who can’t seem to work up the nerves to sneak up and grab the afikomen from the afikomen bag.
“Every year, thousands of Lakewood children walk away from the seder empty-handed, without the precious afikomen in their hands,” Avi Grabstein, who runs the distribution program, told reporters from the Pesach Daily News website on Monday. “Some of these children just can’t seem to work up the courage to walk over to the afikomen bag in surreptitious fashion and pull out the precious matzoh-gift-voucher. Other children simply get bumped out of the process by the older and more capable grabbers. That’s where we come along and fill the needs of these children by distributing all kinds of beautiful afikomen gifts to those who will undoubtedly leave the seder empty handed.”
9-year-old Pesach Goldenowitz of Lakewood offered up the following testimonial on the Afikomen Gift Center’s website.
“I can’t thank Avi Grabstein and the Afikomen Gift Center enough for offering up the most beautiful Afikomen gifts known to children and young adults township-wide,” Mr. Goldenowitz wrote. “I just walked away from the gift center with a beautiful, hand-crafted, rolex watch. I would have never snagged that kind of gift via the afikomen bag route.”
“What?! Are you kidding me?!” Ari Grabstein later told reporters upon reading Pesach’s testimonial. “That rolex watch was not part of the distribution supply chain. That was MY watch! I didn’t even notice the watch coming off my wrist. That kid is about as good a grabber as they come!”
Afikomen officials later told reporters that they discovered dozens of similar gifts in Pesach Goldenowitz’s bedroom.
“Pesach Goldenowitz is not the timid kid he makes himself out to be,” said Afikomen Patrolman, Cheskel Morrorburg, “he’s emptied out dozens of afikomen bags over the years, and he also has a knack for winning incredible gifts from radio station contests and sliding shiny objects off peoples’ wrists.”
Upon returning the rolex to Avi Grabstein, Mr. Goldenowitz received an autograph-signed yo-yo from Avi as a token of his appreciation for returning the watch.
“It’s not the kind of gift I was looking for,” the 9-year old Afikomen grabber later told reporters about the yo-yo, “but I was taught to never look a gift horse in the mouth. So, I’d like to give a shout-out to Avi!”
Ironically, local news outlets are now reporting that, at the present moment, Avi Grabster can’t seem to find his iphone.
