I thought people in Lakewood were struggling to make ends meet. Now they have a Siyum mesechta and they can afford enough food to feed a third world country. plus live music and a paid speaker. Why am I a so called working rich person supporting you? I can barely take care of my family basic expenses.

That’s today’s Lakewood. Must have גדולה with the תורה. Let’s just hope that the majority will pick תורה if a choice has to be made between the two.

don’t know what any of you are talking about and its obvious neither do you . That’s not a speaker that’s the Magid Shiur R’Sruly Bornstein . In lakewood we learn torah and we have gashmius as well. In life everything can be balanced . There are wealthy and there are middle class and there are poor. That’s way it always was and always will be .The siyum was sponsored by one or two comfortable individuals. U need e meat board that size to feed 100 men .Nothing wrong with a nice siyum to celebrate finishing a challenging mesechata . @shmendrik, we started Mesechtas Nazir today , come join a Chabura and maybe you will have more siytata dshmaya in your life.

I’ve been to simchos all over the past 2 decades, and no where has there been more gashmius then Lakewood. Lakewood has become the most gashmius place in America.

Looks like a beautiful Siyum.
For all those commenters, I once heard an adam chashuv say (he said this in regards to the siyum at Metlife) that when we want to be mechazeik Torah for Baal Habatim, we need to give a hisorirus on the outside, not just on the inside.
FYI Chaim, Sruly (and other maggidei shiur) may have started Nazir already but Nazir doesn’t officially start on the Daf Yomi calendar until tomorrow.

A picture of the meatboard is not representative of the Siyum! You can show these pictures but only after the main pictures of the maggid shiur, the olam..

Umm, they did. The first pictures are of R’Sruly Bornstein giving the shiur. After that is the siyum
