Thousands of residents and Lakewood are without power this afternoon following an accident which took out a pole and wires.
The accident happened approximately 1:00 PM on Oberlin Avenue.
Multiple schools and businesses are out of power as a result.
It could take several hours for power to be restored.
Power restored on Vasser Ave.
prohibit trucks from driving in Lakewood unless they are experienced.

Im surprised these mosdos don’t have back up generators . First off ,its thousands of hours of torah that could have been lost today besides the traffic nightmare it caused . Especially the Lakewood cheder has two chasuna halls and they can’t afford lose power during wedding . Also in case of emergency .Their phone lines were down today and possibly their security cameras . Hashem should keep them safe but these are our children and they shouldn’t be Chas shalom left without heat or phone lines in case of an emergency
