Authorities are investigating after a masked man broke into a Lakewood business, only to run off after being greeted by employees inside, police confirm to TLS.
Police responded to the Oberlin Avenue business early Friday morning for the report of a burglary, and upon arrival learned that a burglar had shattered a window to the business, but then ran right back out when he met two employees inside, police say. He made away with no proceeds.
CSI and a K9 dog were requested, but turned up with negative results on the suspect.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic or African American male, wearing a hoodie and apparently a mask covering most of his face, police say.
