PHOTO: Lakewood Volunteer Firefighter Finds Heartwarming Letter on His Car Windshield

ff3A Lakewood Volunteer Firefighter walking out of a local store on Tuesday found this handwritten letter placed on his windshield. The letter states the following:

Thank you for your service to Lakewood by being a firefighter. Every fire truck or ambulance that passes I say a prayer that every firefighter or emergency worker gets to and from their destination safely. I pray that you are safe while you are saving the structure and the occupants. Thank you again for being so brave and providing your service during a crisis.”

The firefighter says he was very moved by the letter.

“It was was really touching,” the firefighter who wishes to remain anonymous told TLS. “It was unexpected, but it’s nice when you get that kind of feedback.”

I feel the same exact way! I would love to do that to ALL of our officers and firefighters! They are my heroes! My child looks up to them in a childish hero way, but I hope that it remains with him. They are our heroes. Their families should be proud of them.
