  1. He was very special and was always there to help others. He always helped Mosdos Hatorah and was pivotal for getting Zichron Shnuer approved – gratis. His wife unfailingly was there for him and took care of him with positive attitude including over his lengthy illness. He will be missed!

  2. We knew, loved and admired Mr. Pfeffer. Such a mentsh! What a loss for the community and especially for his lovely family.

Adam-so sorry for your loss. May you, your mother and the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

  3. Mr. Pfeffer was a silent angel who helped build this community and was personally involved in building many of the shuls, schools and community organizations. 5. One of the finest gentlemen I’ve ever had the privilege to know.

We first met when I was 9 and he was 12 as Biddy League Basketball teammates.

He sat in my late grandfather’s chair at Congregation Sons of Israel always encouraging me to join him.

Years ago we tried a memorable case together in Superior Court Ocean County in front of the late Judge Huber in which we each represented Muslim clients involved in a dispute with one another.

Steve’s quite eloquence spoke loudly. He will be sorely missed.

  6. BDE. Such sad news. He was an amazing person, His generosity of spirit – not simply the chesed that he did, but how he did it – was unequaled. May his wife Jessica, and children Philip Adam and Harrison, be comforted among the mourners of Tzion, and take comfort from all the mitzvos and maasim tovim he did.

There really is just too much to list in this short space as to what he meant and did for Lakewood.
May the whole family find nechama Yehi zichro boruch.
