We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Rebbetzin Gittel Cohen A”H, mother of Rav Simcha Bunim Cohen, Rav of Ateres Yeshaya in Lakewood.
The Rebbetzin for the last few years resided in Lakewood together with her husband Reb Moshe Z”L, who was Niftar in August at the age of 93.
The Rebbetzin is a daughter of the previous Mattestarfer Rav, and granddaughter of the Chassam Sofer. She was approximately 90 years old.
The Levaya will be taking place at 3 PM at Ateres Yeshaya, 908 East County Line Road. Kevurah will be in Lakewood.

BD”E, what a TZadeikess. The past few yrs she lived by her daughter and son-in-law R’ Yisroel Dovid & Devorah Londinski. The way they were mitapel with their parents was mamesh a walking Shulchan Aruch in Hilchos Kibud Av V’eim. Every Shabbos meal. Every Simcha, they were there, being cared for lovingly by their children, the Tzugekimineh & eineklach. MAy it be a zchus for the whole family.

she was a great-great-great-granddaughter of the Chasam Sofer through the Chasam Sofer‘s daughter Hindel, who married Rav Dovid Tzvi Ehrenfeld.
