We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Reb Yosef Tzvi (“Yossel”) Czapnik Z”L, of Lakewood. 

Reb Yosef Tzvi Z”L was a Mispallel at the Gerer Shtieble, and was a Talmid Chochom who was close to many Gedolim.

  1. Yussil had one of the biggest hearts in the world, there is no one he didn’t come in contact with that didn’t walk away with a huge smile ! Adults and kids admired him , he was a Ben Bayis by the kotler family when r’ mayer kotler was sick he sat for weeks by his bed side.
    Oy the world is loosing the best of the best treasure what we have left

    Had the right word for each person regardless of age ,or any yiddish denomination. There will be stories of wit, humor,chochmo,chassidis,musser,and Stam divrei yiddidus to fill many volumes.

    Yossel was larger than life. Just a great guy, full of Simcha & Ah Gutt Vort.
    It’s silly for me to try to describe him; If you knew him you know what Im talking about if you didn’t, I’d be wasting my time.
    Was he niftar from Corona ?

  5. As a child I remember him at this time of the year as he was packing boxes of food for the needy over 30 years Ago. if my memory serves me right, we went to the Film warehouse owned by the Berger family.

    What a loss.
    He was such a generous kind person.
    He touched so so many lives.
    He always had a good word to cheer everyone up.
    And he knew the perfect thing to say!
    He was a talmid chachom.
    He had a very hard life yet he was so focused on how everyone else was doing.

    His neshama should have an aliya
