And years and years of davening daily at Rabbi Felder’s shul on 18th Avenue.

I came to the United States from the UK in 1989 to learn in an out of town yeshiva before coming to BMG several years later. I didn’t know a soul in this country and my first family that I got to know back then and almost right away was the Birnhack family on 47th Street. Thay made me feel so welcome and told me this is your home away from home. Indeed it was for many years, and I have been friends with them even since. Still have such beautiful memories of going to daven on Shabbos in Stolin with R Yisroel Z”l. Still remember the many, many beautiful Shabbosim I spent at the Birnhacks. Watching R’ Yisroel over many years at home and in shul the way he davened, the way he learned, the way he talked to everyone in his signature calm way, watching as people would constantly stop to greet him in the streets on Shabbos, you know he was a very special yid.. Any wonder they have such amazing children an grandchildren. Wishing the entire mishpocho a true נחמה.
