[SITES & SCHEDULE] Attached you will find the sites and schedules for the 2011 Peasch trash collection. The Start time of the collections will be on Motzei Shabbos and continue around the clock till Sundown on Monday.You may also drop off bulk and trash at the John Franklin DPW site at 1 America Avenue at the listed times.
Please note: Sites are for Pesach cleanup and the following items will not be accepted: Tires, Car Batteries, Paints or Chemicals, Construction Debris, Leaves or Brush and Propane Tanks. TLS.

Can someone please explain to me why these sites are manned 24 hours? With all sincerity, what is it in your religious practices that requires you to be throwing out Peasch garbage at 3am? I’m imagining moms cleaning after the kids go to bed, but really…it can’t wait till morning? I’d like to understand the expense.
Its a DPW decision, not a community request. It seems DPW wants their dumpsters in place and “secured” around the clock.

The Dpw workers get major overtime. Unlike the lpd they rarely het to make extra double cash.

Please can someone confirm whether those with Tuesday pickups are geting an additional pick up on Friday? I’ve only seen it on TLS.. nowhere else.. how do we know? & is it just garbage or recycling too?
#2 – try to drive down the places where one could drop off the trash around Sun and Mon and you’ll see why some people may want to come at ‘3am’ to avoid the all the ‘baal hagan’……. oh sorry ‘baal hagan’ basically means …… I cant find the right word….. basically avoid the hassle.

Its not a DPW decision..The orders come from the mayors office to work around the clock.DPW only follow orders.
To # 3, the decision comes from the mayors office not from Dpw.The only person with that kind of power is the Mayor.So Monday morning call him and find out if you are so concern about it.I will do it but i move out of Lakewood long time ago.
Do NOT drive you garbage cans to the dumpster sites with you kids holding onto them, Police are pulling over vehicles.
P.S. Common sense would also dictate not to do it as it is a major safety hazard.
