PHOTOS & VIDEO: A 15 pasenger van jumped the curb, pinned a woman underneath and then struck three vehicles this afternoon, as first reported on our news alerts.
At about 12: 30 PM, the driver of the large van lost control on Clifton Avenue, causing her to jump the curb and pin a woman underneath, before striking three other parked vehicles in a nearby parking lot.
Witnesses tell TLS they saw a plume of smoke from the sand, and heard screams about a woman trapped under a van.
Approximately 7 heroic bystanders, including a Paramedic, sprang into action and lifted the vehicle while another man pulled her from underneath the vehicle.
Multiple Hatzolah and EMS officials arrived on scene moments later and treated the woman, who was alert and conscious.
She was transported by Hatzolah Paramedics to Jersey Shore Medical Center in stable condition.
Lakewood’s Traffic & Safety Division and CIU are investigating the accident.
Sources say she miraculously suffered only minor injuries and is expected to be released today. [TLS]
