Overturned Vehicle On Lakewood New-Egypt Road

Emergency responders are on the scene with an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Lakewood New-Egypt Road and Hill Side Boulevard.

The accident was called in by a Hatzolah member passing the single vehicle accident, and called for extrication units to respond for a patient trapped. The extrication units were cancelled minutes later however when the occupant made it out.

The extent of injuries is unknown at this time.

Traffic in the area is being diverted. (TLS-46/TLS-00/TLS-CCP).

To #3 the same developer who got away with installing Curbs in Brookhill…. Lakewood came a long way it may be a little late but a development of this magnitude would not get away without installing a traffic light. We got to credit the board members who stick the towns zoning standards.

When West Gate was built there was alot more missing besides a traffic light. There was no preparation whatsoever on the roads, water pipes, electricity or anything else in the area to prepare for such a huge development. It took quite a while until adjustments were made to the roads in the area and traffic became normal (?) again. I know Westgate constantly has power outages and there was trouble with water at the beginning too. I have a very novel idea. How about planning BEFORE ugly, big developments are built, instead of adjusting afterwards?

For all the hocking, this accident had nothing to do with westgate. This car was driving on Lakewood New Egypt next to Hillside. It was a 1 car accident.

Still its a great opportunity to point out that the intersection is in desperate need of a trafficlight!!!

Lights are not needed. Talking and txting on the cel phone is the problem at that intersection and all other intersections in Lakewood.
