  1. If “over 1500 in Lakewood ” includes the Westgate area then it is becoming quite obvious that we in Westgate are privileged to be the laughing stock of JCP&Ls clientele.

  2. I would think Westgate’s developers would try to help rectify the situation w/ JCP&L on account of who would want to live there when the electricity is constantly going out. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.

  3. welcome to the new year

we are now living in the generation of Darkness. The generation where it is hard to feel & see Hashems presense. although Hashem is everywhere.

    Due Mostly to one reason.
when Hashem is around & we don’t take notice & call out to Hashem then Hashem becomes invisible.

example. NEWS:Tragedy in Boro Park: Monsey Infant Drowns in Toilet On Rosh Hashanah

I.E. will this tragic event be young enough & sad enough to accept Hashems wake-up call as a time for Teshuva-besides being in the midst of Asteres yemei teshuva-or will we just let it pass & think we can fool Hashem into convincing Hashem that we don’t Realize why Hashem would strike klal Yisroel with such a tragedy ON ROSH HASHANA R”L

the choice is ours-myself included-if we can stop this season of non-stop tragedies one after the next R”L. i beg everyone to choose wisely & come together as a nation with teshuva, fasting & kinnus & let us show Hashem that we can return to The right ways Hashem wants us to so Mashiach comes IY”H ASAP

i wish everyone a G’mar Chasima Tova with as year of Geula in all categories (Mashiach, recovery of sickness, recover from unemployment etc…)
& may we all wake-up to see Hashems signs & amazing niflaos Haborei

  4. I feel terrible for all the Westgate residents! If you notice, this does occur when there are very heavy rains. They effect the underground electric cables, apparently very quickly and efficiently.

  5. I asked the JCP&L representative if I could bring over some laundry to his house. After explaining we are coming out of a 2 day Holiday, he had a great idea. He told me “Just extend your Holiday a little longer”. Very helpful!!!!

  6. A JCP&L employee told me I have to call tomorrow and register a reliability claim with them. Only then will they agree to even check the system in the area. You would think having over 20 power outages in one area per year would maybe raise some red flags for them?

  7. BIG THANKS TO THE VOL. FROM CHAVEIRIM WHO BRAVED THE WEATHER TO GET US ALL POWERED UP, and of course no one even mentions there help…… PLEASE DONT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED

  8. Hey wow
Are you for real the developers got their money, they aren’t go to spend their time or money to help. The only thing you can do is tell any new home buyers at West Gate not to buy because of the problems. If the builders can’t sell then they may help.

  9. Power outages in Westgate occur every time that a storm passes through the area. JCP&L does not understand why the failure rate is so high, or they are resolved to merely address the outages when they occur.

Residents need to take a more active role in seeking a permanent remedy. The builder needs to help, with addressing the situation. Is there an engineering problem?

The Township Committee needs to push JCP&L for a remedy. The infrastructure is owned by JCP&L, and they need to determine the cause of failure and fix the problem.

  10. Mr. Hobday –
Aren’t you on the Lakewood Utility Advisory…………? Don’t you guys meet with JCP&L from time to time. What are you doing about this issue?
