[VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2] Reputed to be the largest Purim Seuda in Lakewood, Oorah hosted another fabulously successful party this Purim in Lake Terrace. Over 1,000 Oorah-affiliated individuals and families filled the large hall during the first half of the evening, coming from as far as Pittsburgh and Albany.
Family-friendly activities like horse and buggy rides greeted the party-goers, many for whom this was their only Purim celebration.
“Even with over a thousand people in attendance, no one was lost in the crowd”, says Oorah. “Whether it was distributing party snappers and nosh to the children or stopping to greet and pose for a picture with grateful adults, Rabbi Chaim Mintz made every person feel welcomed.” “The Purim ruach was infectious.”
Children and adults came dressed in all kinds of creative costumes. The lavish seuda was peppered with spirited dancing to the music of Calev Stratten accompanied by singer Yosef Chaim Bloch.
By 9:00, most of the Oorah families had left, taking with them heartwarming memories of the evening. Shortly thereafter, the hall began filling up again, this time with Rabbi Mintz’s bachurim and alumni of Yeshiva of Staten Island.
“This is the part of the event that Lakewood residents and friends of Oorah look forward to, and for good reason. The leibedig singing and dancing is incredible to behold.”
HaRav Reuven Feinstien graced the assembly with a brief address, and R’ Chaim Mintz also addressed the crowd. The event continued until the early morning. TLS.
Hands down the most leibidig Purim Seudah bar none. Chazak U’Baruch to Rabbi Mintz and everyone responsible at Oorah. As always everything Oorah is frst class including the tasteful and exceptional keyboard deftly manned by Calev Stratton.

Eli Cohen was on keyboard; Calev Stratton was on guitar and managed the sound – but those were “deftly manned”, too!
Sorry, last comment was re: YSI part of the party; looks like C.S. was on keyboard for the Oorah part. Way to go!
