Personally, I don’t believe Bill Gates is in any way “Kosher”, I think he’s a crooked power-hungry control freak but is his latest venture Kosher or Treif? The guy is definitely not a mentsch.

Hmmm….In 2021, Gates was given the name “Farmer Bill” for a reason. That reason being because, in total, he owns 242,000 acres in the United States, totaling over $690 million.
Bill Gates owns more farmland in the US than anyone else, and in a time of dwindling supply, he’s pushing the idea of meat elimination.
It’s made from plants from his farmlands. Get the picture?
Meat made from plants are made of ingredients include legumes like lentils or soybeans. The question is, will it be Kosher or Treif? It occurs to me, first, there is an issue of Maras Ayin here. How about a “Kosher cheeseburger?” Or a burger with a milkshake or an ice cream soda. Sure, we have kosher fake bacon (milchig) and phoney shrimp which many shy away from because of Maras Ayin.
Secondly, will there be an issue of Toalim? Since we don’t know the exact ingredients, how can we know if there are parasites, worms or other bugs that must be checked for? We have seen problems even with dry beans that were affected by infestation. What exactly will be the nutritional value of such a laboratory creation. Will it have the protein that real meat has? What about carbohydrates? This could be a problem for people that have celiac disease. If there are grains, can they be Yoshon. What chemicals and machinery will be used to process the ingredients. Are the solvents and cleaning materials kosher. Does the manufacturing plant have to be kashered. And on what schedule. Is Gates planning to hire Mashgichim? To me these are legitimate questions.
I’m pretty sure Gates is not thinking about the kosher consumer here. After all we represent a tiny minority of consumers which would not be a great source of revenue, and that is what this is really about. Under the guise of “climate change”, Bill wants to add to his fortunes. Market share is what counts. Remember, he owns 242,000 acres of farmland in the United States, totaling over $690 million. That’s more than anyone else.

“I do think all rich countries should move to 100 percent synthetic beef. You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time.”

Gates also said a governmental compulsion is an option. That means the government may force you to eat it. That is if they throw out the Bill of Rights and Constitution. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try considering where we are headed. Besides, he and his cronies think the Torah is a bunch of fairy tales.

Please don’t say that Gates is a good person through his philanthropic work. The majority of his money goes to helping Africa and third-world countries. Even in America, “the Foundation has funded 20,000 scholarships for high-achieving, low-income students of color.” meaning, whites need not apply). While all this is beautiful, it shows that he despises the Establishment which made him rich, and supports the Woke movement of the day. Let’s not forget that he was also buddies with JE, and may have been one of the high-powered people who ordered his ‘suicide’ in jail so their reputations wouldn’t be dirtied…

Population explosion is considered a problem in the entire liberal world, Gates didn’t invent it. One of the reasons for it is that primitive societies tend to have a lot of children in case some die in childhood, as children have sadly done for millennia. If they have the opportunity to vaccinate their children, they have much much less to fear from childhood diseases. When childhood illness and death are less of a fear, they will be more likely to practice family planning, having only as many children as they can support.
Yes, this is not the Torah Hashkafah of לשבת יצרה. But vaccines don’t kill, and Gates isn’t looking to kill anyone.

The author seems to think Gates wants to eliminate meat because he owns so much farm land. Did the author ever think how “Real” meat is made? It’s made by animals consuming plants and converting the plant material into meat. It takes a lot more plants to produce a pound of meat than it does to produce a pound of plants.
If Bill Gates truly was doing it for the money, he’d be encouraging more meat consumption as the more meat being consumed the more plants need to be grown.
