OJC: Gov. Murphy – A True Advocate for Our Community

[COMMUNICATED] Election time is when parties promote their dreams. One cannot speak about the promises of others but the Orthodox Jewish chamber of Commerce (501c6) can testify as a group working with presidents, government officials, governors, senators, congress, ambassadors, council generals, mayors, assemblyman, and more, there is no man who took a more personal interest to help our community than Governor Phil Murphy. He is a person who cares and will continue to do so, said the CEO of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce Duvi Honig.

Upon COVID-19 crisis, Governor Phil Murphy worked with the chamber and its CEO Duvi Honig personally to help keep our businesses open together with his administration and the health commissioner. They stated to us how they won’t pull a Cuomo by shutting down our businesses, and will work with us directly about how to overcome COVID 19 challenges as they arise.

Governor Phil Murphy works continually with the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the community on a personal level. He hosted together with the Chamber a Homeland Security Summit here in Lakewood immediately after Jersey City making sure our community is safe. He was the first to stand up against Rise Up Ocean County and work directly with the Orthodox Jewish Chamber to make sure businesses were safe and open during the COVID crisis.

Along with the Orthodox Jewish Chamber, Governor Murphy hosted a Virtual Summit to help businesses stand up against Anti-Semitic media and helped cut red tape for families suffering from medical and other COVID related issues.

Governor Murphy is a mensch, a true person and not just a politician. There are many politicians who smile but the Governor is a man of action. I can testify personally that anytime, day or night, I reach out to him to help someone in a crisis, he responds instantly with action.

Politicians make promises but Governor Phil Murphy takes action! With the world changing every day, with all the new challenges our community faces daily, we cannot afford to vote on promises. We must show our appreciation of a true friend, one who has a track record of taking action.

  1. This is confusing, do the Machers/movers and shakers have a different reality then us little people? Don’t they remember what we remember covid shutdown, arrests?Don’t they sit in traffic like we do ? Don’t they pay taxes like we do? Do the know something we don’t or maybe expecting/receiving something we are not?

    • Exactly. Only handouts matter. No reality. With all do respect to those who say Hakaras Hatov, Murphy may be there for four more years but then he is gone. He needs you not, cares for you not.

  2. I love how the only people who indorse this clown are people who are important, not anyone REAL like people who go to work every day.
I’m sick of these puff pieces from people who live off public money.
    GO JACK

  3. I stopped reading your article, when it said that the Governor worked together with your organization to keep the business open.

Do you think we are all so nuts and forget what was going on in Lakewood and other parts of New Jersey???

How many Jewish business were shut down for month’s??

How many people did he send to the nursing homes to die??

That said, if you feel that the Governor was good to is during covid, fine, send him a nice chocolate platter for הכרת הטוב

But please let me know how anyone can vote for any Democrat now, they are teaching the west things in public schools, AND THEN IT WILL COME TO THE PRIVATE YESHIVAS AS WELL!!!

    Mark my words.

  4. Boruch Hashem, it seems from the overwhelming majority of the comments in the last few weeks, that the public understands full well what’s going on with the askanim saying things they don’t mean out of pressure etc. They themselves are not stupid enough to vote for this corrupt democrat and we can all read between the lines to vote Jack in and all democrats at every level. Rabosai, do not listen to the polls. We can bang this (moderated) out!!!!

  5. This comment section is what happens when a community’s dominant newspapers (won’t name them here) just regurgitate talking points from Republican talk radio for decades. It turns people into mindless followers of the red party, like our kids playing color war.

  6. In the last presidential election, I really wanted to vote for Bernie Sanders. I am sure that even though he’s a self-hating Jew, he was the machers’ candidate. I was unable to do so, however, because I wasn’t a registered Democrat. Instead, I will vote for his proxy, Phil Murphy, for governor of New Jersey. I understand that my taxes are the highest in the nation, but I’m sure that the machers know something that I don’t know.

We must have hakaros hatov to Bernie Sanders and support his candidate, Phil Murphy. Bernie Sanders could’ve been much worse to Israel. He only said that we shouldn’t replenish the Iron Dome and didn’t call for Israel’s annihilation.
