Ocean County Residents Arrested In Latest Narcotics Investigation; 1 Suspect Located in Lakewood

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced today the culmination of two separate investigations into drug activity in the Ocean County area.

On October 11, Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of two Little Egg Harbor residents on various drug charges. The investigation resulted in the procurement of a no knock search warrant for 632 Route 9, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. At approximately 6am on October 11, the search warrant was executed on the residence by Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, along with members of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 200 individual dosage units of Heroin, 88 Oxycodone pills, a gram of MDMA Ecstasy, and approximately $4700 in cash.

The following individuals were arrested and charged:

Sandra Wells, 41, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Wells was charged with two counts of Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin under one half ounce with Intent to Distribute, and Distribution of Heroin. The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC set bail on Ms. Wells at $50,000 no ten percent. Based on the items recovered during the execution of the search warrant, Ms. Wells was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin under one half ounce with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS (Oxycodone), Possession of CDS (88 Oxycodone Pills) with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Honorable Municipal Court Judge Phillip M. Miller JMC set additional bail of $40,000 no ten percent on these charges. Ms. Wells was housed in the Ocean County Jail.

Keith D. Wells, 49, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Mr. Wells was charged with Possession of CDS (Oxycodone) and Possession of CDS (88 Oxycodone Pills) with Intent to Distribute. Mr. Wells was released on a summons.

Keith and Sandra Wells are brother and sister.

Assisting in this investigation were members of the Little Egg Harbor Police Department, the Stafford Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

On October 10, 2013, Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Northern Enforcement Unit concluded an investigation that identified a 2001 white Lexus as being utilized by Alexander Holguin to store and distribute cocaine in Ocean County. At approximately 12:00 pm on October 10 Prosecutor’s Detectives, along with members of the Lakewood Police Department, located the 2001 Lexus in the area of 1889 Route 9, Lakewood NJ. The partnering agencies stopped the vehicle and found it being operated by Mr. Holguin. Detectives conducted a search of the Lexus and located approximately 23 grams of cocaine, a quantity of Oxycontin pills, and approximately $700 in cash. The 2001 Lexus was also seized pending forfeiture proceedings.

The following individual was arrested and charged:

Alexander Holguin, 29, of Jackson, NJ. Holguin was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of CDS (Oxycontin). Mr. Holguin was released on his own recognizance.

  1. It means they don’t consider him a “flight risk”. No bail was set and he said he would appear in court for his hearing. I guess the fact that they took his car might have something to do with it…even though if I wanted to get out of town, I’d use public transportation…would be much more difficult to be found.

  2. Depending on many circumstances a judge may choose to release someone without bail pending his initial hearing.Depending on the jurisdiction is a somewha common occurrence

  3. Jackson doesn’t want our schools in their township, but they are glad to send their drug pushers , child abductors, trouble-makers & thugs to our township.

  4. People are not god don’t judge a person on choices they make were all human plus you do not know a persons personal situation what made them do what they do
