The Ocean County Republican Organization unanimously re-elected George Gilmore as chairman and Ruthanne Scaturro as vice chairwoman during its reorganization meeting Tuesday evening, reaffirming the committee’s confidence in their leadership.
The unanimous vote reflects the continued support Gilmore and Scaturro enjoy among Republican leaders, elected officials, and grassroots members throughout Ocean County.
“I am deeply honored and grateful for the unanimous support of our committee members,” Gilmore said. “Ocean County Republicans have built one of the strongest and most effective political organizations in the country by remaining united, focused on our principles, and committed to delivering results for our candidates. I look forward to continuing that work alongside Vice Chairwoman Scaturro and the entire Ocean County Republican team.”
Scaturro also thanked committee members for their confidence and emphasized the importance of continued grassroots engagement.
“It is a privilege to continue serving the Republican Party in Ocean County,” Scaturro said. “Our organization succeeds because of the dedication of our municipal leaders, county committee members, volunteers, and elected officials. Together, we will continue working to advance conservative values, support our candidates, and ensure Ocean County remains a stronghold for Republican leadership for years to come.”
According to the Ocean County Republican Organization, Gilmore’s tenure as chairman has coincided with continued electoral success for Republican candidates in the county. The organization said it has consistently delivered strong margins of victory in local and national elections, including providing President Donald Trump with one of his highest county vote pluralities nationwide in both the 2016 and 2024 presidential elections.
