No Injuries In Home Fire On Simchas Torah

lfd Miraculously there were no injuries after a fire broke out in a home on Simchas Torah evening. The family quickly evacuated the home and a General Alarm was sounded drawing a large response from the Fire Department. The fire – contained to one room – was extinguished a short time after the arrival of the LFD, before it manged to spread to the rest of the home.

The home however, sustained severe smoke damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. TLS-CCC

  1. To all those out there asking why so many fire trucks are need at a fire, this was not the only fire over sichas torah. There was a fire in midwood brooklyn that took the life of a 8 yr old boy.

Don’t ask why are there so many trucks, ask how many more can we get.

  2. #1

non of your business. we don’t want you hockering on our block. It was sad enough that this had to happen to such a nice family and I don’t think they need you bothering them.

  3. Someone from the block- why such a harsh response to someone who merely asked for the address. How do you know why he asked for the address. Maybe he wants to send flowers etc. to show that he cares.

  4. We had people hanging around during the fire, that was enough. It was a bit of an over kill with the amount of trucks but be thankful we didn’t need them.

  5. #4 what would you say if it was your house, and 1 of your children were stuck in the upstairs bed room.

nah we don’t need that many trucks.

    Think before you write.

Also these brave men and women are volunteers, they don’t get paid to run into YOUR burning house to save YOUR family.

I’m sure a thank you would be enough.

  6. To #4 think about it. Wouldn’t you rather have too many trucks and firefighters there and not need them, then not enough trucks and firefighters and need them? Think before you write we get up at every hour of the day and night to come protect YOUR family and we do it for nothing so if you would rather us not show up at all and let all YOUR belongings perish then let us know. Just because there is alot of fire trucks there does not mean there is alot of man power.
