The newest member of the Board of Education voted in just last week, gave up the position, a Board of Education official told TLS today.
Angela Caldwell, one of several to apply for the seat, told the Board today she was giving up the seat, though a reason was not provided.
Asked why she applied and then declined the position, the Board member said, “I honestly don’t know.”
Caldwell was voted in by a 4-1 vote during last week’s meeting to fill the seat vacated by former member Yoni Silver, who resigned earlier this year.
The board official says that being that the deadline to appoint a member has now passed, it’s now up to the County to appoint a new member.
